The Teal Pumpkin Project – Teal Pumpkins

Halloween, besides Christmas, is easily the most anticipated holiday for kids. But for some kids, it can be scary, and I’m not just talking about the costumes. Enter the Teal Pumpkin Project!

What is the teal pumpkin project?

Glad you asked!

Since the 1990’s food allergies have been increasing at an alarming rate. Luckily, awareness of them is climbing up there as well.

The purpose of the teal pumpkin project is for people to place a teal pumpkin outside (painted or otherwise) on Halloween night. The teal pumpkin indicates that the home offers non-food, or allergy-safe alternatives.

This initiative helps families both show their compassion and support, as well as give comfort to parents and children alike on Halloween. After all, the only thing that should be scary is the gouls and goblins!

The teal pumpkin project has been around since 2014. So let’s help grow its presence and share the word!
